Frequently Asked Questions

If you’re considering hiring a public adjusting firm to handle an insurance claim for property damage (like from fire, water, or storms), you might have several common questions.  Please reach us at info@cactusclaims.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We evaluate your property damage, prepare and submit claim documentation, negotiate with your insurer for a fair settlement, and can help interpret your policy coverage. Unlike company adjusters who work for the insurer, public adjusters focus solely on your interests.

It’s often best to involve us early in the claims process, especially for complex or large claims, to ensure nothing is overlooked from the start. However, you can hire us at any stage if you’re unhappy with your insurer’s offer or handling.

Cactus Claim Service works on a contingency fee basis, typically 10% of the settlement amount, so you pay nothing upfront—we only get paid if you receive a payout. The fee structure will always be confirmed before signing a contract.

Pros include expert negotiation for higher settlements (often 20-50% more), reduced stress, and thorough claim handling. Public Adjusters are especially valuable for disputed or undervalued claims.

No, we work exclusively for you, the policyholder. Your insurer has their own adjusters, whose goal is to minimize payouts for the company. Our goal is to maximize the payout.

A deductible is an amount that you're responsible for in the event of a loss. This is the amount you pay out-of-pocket, and insurance covers the remainder.

Our firm handles property damage claims from events like fires, floods, hurricanes, or theft. We specialize in commercial and residential claims.
